What you are calling future fit is way more commonly known as the Behavior Interview. This really talks to how the candidate and potential hire would do in different circumstances. Usually learning is a key aspect which is investigated during that interview.
Trying to suggest culture fit isn’t the right approach, and instead suggesting that only “future fit” is necessary, swings the pendulum too far to one side. In reality understanding all the required aspects for success are equally important.
